The Grip Project is a community-based interactive art project created by Zia that began in Lawrence, Kansas in the summer of 2016. So far, hundreds of participants have created one-of-a-kind imprints of their hands in porcelain clay which are kiln-fired and then formed into temporary art installations across the community. Subtle connections are created within the community when passersby choose a random 'grip' to take home as the grips are redistributed back into the community. Following are the most recent photos from @TheGripProject's Instagram feed. To see many more, please visit https://www.instagram.com/thegripproject/. More iterations of this project are to come — it is an ongoing work of collaborative art!
